The restaurant, with its comfortable
chairs and crisp linen tablecloths, enjoys the
delightful view across the Bovey Valley to the
wooded, bracken covered hills up to the rugged
granite outcrop of Haytor. Service is friendly
and informal whilst the table d'hote menus offer
a variety of carefully prepared, predominantly
traditional, homemade English dishes complemented
by other contemporary combinations from around
the world.
The wine cellar offers the opportunity
to explore the variety of the world's wine styles
by offering vintages from the majority of the
popular wine making countries with some available
in half bottles and others by the glass.
At breakfast time a buffet of
cereals, fresh fruit, fruit juice, yoghurt and
preserves welcomes our guests whilst freshly
brewed coffee and tea get the day off to a good
start. Traditional cooked dishes are prepared
to order and served hot from the kitchen using
free range eggs and other locally sourced ingredients.
